(and how to treat it)

Vitamin Therapy

Seasonal Affective Disorder, or SAD Syndrome may be (although not always) caused in the winter months when light levels are low. Natural supplements and vitamins help alleviate the winter blues this time of year as we adjust to darker days. Vitamin D is nicknamed “the sunshine vitamin” for no small reason. Sunshine is where most people get their vitamin D, but without that warm glow, we could be lacking vital nutrients. Vitamin C is also a recommended addition to our fight-the-winter-blues regime, as it’s necessary for the growth, development and repair of body tissues and is involved in the formation of collagen and absorption of iron.

Light Therapy

One of the most effective ways to combat SAD, is through light therapy. Our light therapy lamps help boost energy, improve sleep, and improve moods. You’ll feel the effects by just using the lamp 20-30 minutes each day. Its adjustable 13″ x 10″ screen means you’ll get the full 10,000 LUX at a comfortable sitting distance. Recommended and used to help fight SAD and winter blues, regulate sleeping patterns, and improve energy levels.
